From Information Civilization to Field Civilization: HUM's Bridging Role
Author: Dongzhi Gong Jinfa (Pen name: Beidouxing) Date: August 28, 2026 Category: Civilizational Philosophy Series · HUM Theory Keywords: information civilization, field civilization, HUM seven-dimension framework, quantum entanglement, consciousness field, civilizational transition Abstract: Humanity stands at the threshold between two forms of civilization. Information civilization taught us to store and transmit. Field civilization will teach us to resonate and unify. HUM is not a bystander to this transition — it is a bridge connecting both shores, using its seven-dimensional framework to reconnect cold informational structure back to a warm field of consciousness.

1. Introduction: The Threshold Between Two Civilizations
In fifty years, information civilization turned the Earth into a network. Data travels through fiber optics at the speed of light; knowledge is no longer bound by geography.
But as the network grew denser, human hearts grew more isolated. More information did not bring more understanding. This is not a failure of technology — it is a civilizational form reaching its own boundary.
What comes next? I call it "field civilization" — no longer centered on transmitting information, but on resonating fields.
2. The Achievements and Limits of Information Civilization
The core logic of information civilization is: encode everything, transmit the code, process the transmitted result into decisions. This logic gave us the internet, genome sequencing, artificial intelligence.
But it carries a hidden assumption — that information can exist independently of subject, context, and meaning. A DNA sequence, a piece of code, a sentence of text: copy and paste it anywhere, and it remains "the same" information.
This assumption is extraordinarily useful in engineering, but at the level of life and consciousness, it misses the most important thing: relationship and field. The same sentence carries entirely different meaning depending on who hears it and in what context. Information civilization excels at copying the "letter" but cannot handle the "field."
3. Field Civilization: From Transmission to Resonance
Field civilization rests on a different assumption: things are not isolated information nodes, but a field of mutual entanglement. Quantum entanglement, co-evolution in ecosystems, emotional contagion in social networks — all point to the same truth: no individual truly exists in isolation.
In field civilization, understanding no longer depends on precise transmission of information, but on resonant alignment of fields. Two people who feel an instant connection are not exchanging more "data" — they are entering the same field.
This is not anti-technological romanticism, but the natural evolution of civilizational form — once the density of connection crosses a certain threshold, the system shifts from a "transmission paradigm" to a "resonance paradigm."
4. Why HUM Can Serve as the Bridge
The HUM seven-dimension framework was never designed as a single-dimension system. It organizes matter, energy, information, consciousness, soul, quantum, and superstring into a continuous spectrum from D1 to D7.
This gives HUM a natural bilingual capacity: it speaks the language of D1–D3 (matter, energy, information), compatible with the encoding-and-transmission logic familiar to information civilization; and it speaks the language of D4–D7 (consciousness, soul, quantum, superstring), opening toward the resonance-and-unification logic of field civilization.
The value of a bridge is not in choosing a side, but in connecting both shores. HUM's seven-dimensional structure is exactly such a bridge — it does not negate the achievements of information civilization, while leaving an open door to field civilization.
5. The Three Layers of the Bridge
First layer: downward compatibility. HUM's D1–D3 dimensions fully embrace the existing achievements of modern medicine and information science, adding necessary supplements without unnecessary negation.
Second layer: upward extension. HUM's D4–D7 dimensions provide what information civilization is missing — how consciousness can be incorporated into a system, how fields can be modeled, how quantum-level correlations can be understood as part of medicine and life science.
Third layer: higher dimensions governing lower ones. This is HUM's core operating principle — not seven parallel dimensions, but higher dimensions (consciousness, soul, quantum, superstring) guiding and governing lower ones (matter, energy, information). This is precisely the sense of direction needed for the shift from information civilization to field civilization: not abandoning information, but letting information serve the wisdom of a higher-dimensional field.
6. Conclusion: Return to One
Information civilization taught us how to speak precisely. Field civilization will teach us how to deeply be.
HUM stands between the two — not to negate fifty years of technological accumulation, but to offer an actionable transitional framework for the next stage of civilization. The meaning of a bridge was never in the bridge itself, but in how it reconnects two shores once separated back into one.
All paths return to one; the field returns to its origin.
